The Genesis GV60, the brand's first electric SUV, is getting a 2025 refresh. The update brings a sportier aesthetic, a few new touches around the interior, and a boost in range.
Genesis has sharpened the GV60's exterior with a redesigned, more aggressive front bumper. The signature split headlights now come with "Micro Lens Array" technology, borrowed from the flagship G90 sedan, promising enhanced performance with precision light control. Adding to its sophisticated stance, the GV60 now sports body-colored side skirts and wheel arch cladding, giving it a lower, more grounded appearance. A set of new 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels completes the exterior transformation.
The GV60's cabin gets a 27-inch expansive touchscreen instead of the dual 12.3-inch display of the predecessor. A new, three-spoke steering wheel adds a touch of sportiness to the interior, while the distinctive crystal-ball gear selector remains a focal point.
While Genesis has remained tight-lipped about technical specifications, it's widely anticipated that the GV60 will receive a larger battery pack, mirroring the upgrades seen in its siblings, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. This upgrade could potentially boost the GV60's range to nearly 360 miles, quite an improvement over the current 321 miles.
The updated Genesis GV60 is expected to hit the market later this year, with a high-performance "Magma" variant also on the horizon. While details about the GV60 Magma are scarce, it's likely to pack enough power to rival the 650 hp output of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Kia EV6 GT.
