its not the same. you cant feel the wind while driving, the smell and other sensories. how bright lights are. how the seats actually feel. how far to reach the seat adjustment etc. how tight the seatbelts are. how soft or stiff the steering wheels are. etc etc etc all the little things that you EXPERIENCE when you test drive in person.
they are feeding false lies. the experience is Meta because its not the REAL deal.
Meta is good for demo. thats it. Vendors especially car vendors, should still ENCOURAGE real test drive. Bye internet.

When I purc... moreInteresting, because I am always wishing that the "virtual" experience inside a particular car is better. Some car manufacturers have made the 360 camera of the interior pretty decent, but I wish it was better sot hat I can virtually see how things are. You just can't always walk into a dealership and see what you want. Sometimes you can, but travelling many miles to do so can be a huge waste. I like to know what I am getting as much as possible and it's not always accessible because of added expense nobody cares to take on (or pass on to the customer).
The only way for it to get better, is to become more commonplace.
Just lol at anyone who takes fiat seriously or buy their cars. Absolutely horrible build quality and reliability. More than 100 years of making cars and they couldn't figure out how to put together a car properly. Blows my mind how are they still in business.

David, 02 Dec 2022The Metaverse fad will be as big a bust as 3D TV was, and NFT's.Yeah, VR will never take off. There is absolutely no push towards closer and closer integration of human and machine ... oh wait, no! Phone screens keep getting larger, the videogame industry is huge, there is absolutely no way that the two wot be married (in the form of a huge mobile screen strapped on your head and videogame environments for things other than games).
NFTs btw ain't a fad, they've been around for 6 years now and they'd be around for way more than that, digital ownership is absolutely essential for the future of the world, it just won't be about useless jpegs... What's a fad is you knowing about them (I guess you only heard of them last year, I.e. the only year where NFTs entered a stupid phase, one from which it is largely exiting)...
What's the benefit? A virtual showroom can never replace the real experience. When I purchase a smarthphone, for example, I always go to the electronics market because the virtual renders that one can see online are neither a true to life representation of the device nor can they deliver the haptic experience. So, a virtual showroom can be a fun experience but never have the functionality of the real thing.
desmod, 02 Dec 2022It's the 3rd most sold EV in Europe, thank you very muchThey are also the worlds #1 unreliable auto maker. This will be fun to watch.
