I think the article has jumped the gun. Are all the customers same? Do we have research data?
I for one, would love to have overnight charging, which I'm unable to do because devices charge damn quick, I'm not comfortable keeping them plugged in all the time.
Secondly, 40 kgs is a notable difference, plus combined with other efforts it might make more of a difference than we think.
Plus, how can we conclude this is all the benefit it will offer? Maybe better cooling? better handling? longetivity of battery?
Although I must say the CEO must offer both options to the customer.
And, the CEO talks about shifting attitudes, this won't work for all customers. Clearly, it won't.

No. Electric vehicles need to charge via DC if they want to compete with literally every electric vehicle brand. Customers do not want short range electric vehicles that can't charge quickly. Fire her.
