Inductive charging is massively less efficient than conductive. So who in their right mind would want to pay more to charge their car at home?

This smells like another example of Musk putting "this sounds cool" over sensible engineering solutions. And the fact that his goes against Tesla's actual reason for existing doesn't seem to have occurred to him.
