i am considering to get an ev in a month,
and i am leaning to buy hyundai kona electric 2024.
Thank you
With the massive failure problems with Hyundai's electric motors, it seems they have only patched them up. Decreasing the torque. But still the same engine. That's why the increase in efficiency is missing.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2024I was really interested to see this comparison, but you haven't pitted the 17" wheel... moreThey are both the highest possible trim levels and in the new one there are only 19-inch ones.
imo, it wont go 300km on autobahn at 130 average. maybe, if you are comfortable with driving with very low battery... at least not in winter.
respectable range in urban but, 300km range in autobahn driving (130kmh) is just unacceptable. adding luggage will eat up another 50km range.
Top trim 2019 was 17", top trim in 2024 is 19".
It's not like you are having a choice when buying the Kona.
I was really interested to see this comparison, but you haven't pitted the 17" wheeled versions against each other, so it's meaningless! We know the 19" wheels kill efficiency, so it's not helpful to proceed with the comparison given this difference. 😐
