"China has long been a frontrunner in the electric car race, thanks in part to government support." - Exactly. There's a reason why they grew they way they did, with their government's support. Now, the US wants to do the same with those who produce domestically, so I don't understand China's issue. They want to have it both ways. They want their government to subsidize their own market, but not allow the US to subsidize it's own.
