Where are these imaginary swap stations you guys speak of? Samsung is still on course to roll out SSBs by 2027. If there is a setback it will be following the roll out of their smaller batteries.

If Toyota, Nissan, Honda keep betting on Solid State battery for 2027-30 and not improve current EVs with battery swap or sodium batteries, they will be left behind by competitors before 2026. Which is already the situation with Toyota, Honda and Nissan.

EVs are no longer dependent on Solid State for improved charging times to reduce range anxiety and bring ease of use to EVs. Battery swap stations offer 2 minute swaps. Sodium batteries offer safer alternative. Solid state battery are but EV growth is not as dependent on them, as before in current times

Its not as if Hyundai/Kia are the market leaders. I am expecting either one of China based battery makers(many like GAC, Chery and SAIC have announced plans to launch in 2026 time frame) or even Factorial or other startups could do it. Then there are Japanese OEMS including Toyota, Honda and Nissan who are promising some launch in the later part of the decade. Let us see what happens.
