The guy who made this video is probably getting sued. And honestly, he deserves it. The whole stunt was sponsored by a Lidar company, a technology Tesla doesn’t use. In his own footage, you can clearly see Autopilot is turned off during the drive. He briefly switches it on right before crashing, but by the time of impact, it’s off again. Unsurprisingly, YouTube is already flooded with videos tearing apart this shady Lidar ad. I get people are mad at Elon, but fake news is not for me. The truth is what must be reported.
Proven to be fake, the video shows the start of auto-pilot at 40mph then different angles of the crash show the start of auto-pilot at 42mph, because he couldn't actually produce what he wanted. The guy staged it to make Tesla look bad and didn't achieve the result he went for, even placing a child on the other side for the emotional points.
the most hilarious thing about this..is that liberals are turning against each other.
it's like liberals lack spine and support whatever they're told.
tesla shills made their money when tesla good
tesla shills make even more money now when tesla bad
Extremly serious real world problem! Every day I avoid such painted walls at least ten times driving to work and back home.
These tests are gimmicks. This kind of painted wall can also confuse a human driver. That being said Tesla cars need better LIDAR to avoid this kind of thing
Teslas are very overrated with emphasis on very. Tesla touts service-free ownership. Sounds great, but in reality their cars frequently fail basic safety inspections, 1/4 of brand new Teslas failed Danish MOT. Similar numbers in Finland, Sweden and other countries.
Tesla touts cheap ownership costs, but in reality they have expensive insurance, high depreciation, faster tyre wear and expensive spare parts.
Tesla touts safety, but in reality they Tesla branded cars crash the most per mile driven and they have the most fatalities per mile driven.
Tesla's claims are often very different from reality.
So an older Tesla would be safer than the new Teslas? What year did they start using the cameras?
