Coming from a life long Mopar fan/builder I think it's a good looking car. I own a 69 charger and as tempting as it is to have one of these next to my old one. It's still electric and I just can't get on board at this time. They should let it be the buyer's choice if they want electric or gas. If I could buy one with a HEMI in it sign me up. Maybe to this new generation this is cool and it is cool looking. I just like to hear and feel the power especially the old cars.
"To create a car that both pays homage to the glorious past and embraces the future at the same time, is one heck of a task."
No it's really not hard to take a design that already exists and make it electric. I mean if it were, regular people wouldn't be doing it.
Was an aooogaaa(air horn) really necessary. Sound appears to be from speakers,, but if they used something else it appears to be a small motor connected to air compressor type assembly blowing air in a metal pipe simulating exhaust pressure pulses of an ic engine, also a gearbox, such a massive waste of battery, just to create noise pollution.
Why couldn't they just delete the "FIREWALLs" and sound insulation and let 2 motors whine and resonate in the cabin.
Instead of making a backwards miscle car ev concept, here is a mad idea, any manufacturer can adopt this free of cost, forget about the sound, add a mode to take advantage of the fact that a capable ev motor+inverter can change /lock(even revert the direction of) torque output in milliseconds, even at 60mph, when driver presses pedal to the metal, the torque slips tyres in a corner to do a controlled burnout {drift mode}, even 300hp~220kw RWD setup can do this. BRINGING BACK THE FEAR OF LIVE AXLE 60S MUSCLE BACK IN 2020s
The exterior design nails it.
The interior works well too, but that red rope light is even tackier than the one in the Mercedes.
