The EU is exploring alternatives to tariffs, such as minimum price commitments from Chinese EV makers or increased investment in European production facilities. Despite the challenges, both sides have agreed to more technical negotiations in the near future. This suggests that neither side wants to escalate the situation into a full-blown trade war.
