Following the successful launch of its debut SU7 model and the rapid ramp-up of its production, Xiaomi is now looking to expand its EV portfolio. The tech giant turned EV startup was rumored to add a second model and we now have solid evidence of that happening next year.
Xiaomi's upcoming electric SUV got its details revealed through an MIIT listing, and the company officially revealed the name - YU7. The official Weibo announcement also suggests that the vehicle will arrive between June and July 2025.
Back to the MIIT listing, we can expect at least two powertrain configurations, one with 220 kW maximum output and another with 288 kW. In both cases, the YU7 is running on two motors. The battery is supplied by CATL but its capacity has yet to be revealed.
Dimensions are 196.8 inches x 78.6 inches x 63 inches and a wheelbase of 118 inches. The YU7 weighs 5,302 lb.
Yeah, this is too close of a clone for my liking. Lacks inspiration or original thought
