The electric Subaru Solterra, which is the sibling of the electric Toyota bZ4X, could only be purchased at the time with a single-phase charger that provided AC charging at a maximum of 6.6 kilowatts. An upgrade for the new model year of the Solterra is currently being implemented by Subaru and it finally brings a 3-phase connection with 11kW throughput.
The Solterra with a 1-phase charger is now available straight from stock. It comes in three different packages: the standard model, which is just called Solterra, the Sky Package, and the Two Tone Package.
Only the Solterra Sky Package, with its bigger alloy wheels, has a shorter range than the standard Subaru Solterra, coming in at 414 kilometers rather than 465 kilometers when the battery is fully charged.
It is really nice in person, but I feel like until they refresh it with blade batteries, there are other, more comfortable and practical alternatives. Hopefully it won't take long, as BZ3 production should be under way for quite a while.
