The Polestar 3 was initially available in two variants in the US - Long Range Dual Motor with Pilot Pack and Plus Pack or the same drivetrain but with Pilot Pack and Performance Pack combo. The former asked $78,900, while the latter went for $84.900. And even though shipments haven't even started, the base model is getting a discount, while Polestar is also adding two more configuration options to the portfolio.
The Pilot Pack remains standard for all variants of the 3, but the base model is now asking $73.400. Some of the Pilot Pack features include Lane Change Assist, Park Assist Pilot and a heads-up display. The Pilot Pack and Plus Pack tier is still in the mix, going for $78,900.
As a new option you can get the Pilot and Performance packs, which costs $79,400, while the most beefed-up version with all three optional packages is $84,900. Here are all the possible configurations in the US and how they compare to each other.

If you are wondering what the Plus Pack brings, it's all about interior features. Opting for the Plus Pack ads a 25-speaker audio setup tuned by Bowers & Wilkins and Microtech or wool seats. You also get a set of 21-inch wheels.
The Performance Pack, as the name implies, delivers more torque, better acceleration and chassis tuning, including a set of 22-inch performance wheels with Swedish-styled gold accents. The accent is found inside the cabin as well.
No matter which variant you go for, the Polestar 3 qualifies for the full $7,500 tax credit in the US. Pre-orders are available while deliveries should commence within the same quarter this year.
Lower price and still nobody wants it. It's a Chinese electric masquerading as a Volvo, and in my brief experience, it sucks compared to Tesla.
Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone would choose the Polestar 3 over other luxury EV SUVs in this price range. Its specs just don't impress me.
