BYD

BYD teased the upcoming Yuan Up on its official Weibo, sharing six images of the car.

The Yuan Up is based on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 and is a compact SUV with sporty and youthful styling.

BYD says the Yuan Up is an A0 segment EV, which should mean a compact car with a sub-2.7 meter wheelbase.

According to a leaked regulatory filing, the Yuan Up measures 169.7 inches in length, 72 inches in width, and 65.9 inches in height with a wheelbase of 103.1 inches. There are three weight options - 3,153 lb, 3,351 lb, and 3,395 lb.

Rumor has it, the Yuan Up will have a single motor with two power options - 70 kW (94 hp) and 130 kW (174 hp) - and a maximum speed of 99 mph. Expect a maximum range of 401 km.

Finally, dealers will reportedly pay RMB 120,000 ($18,300), RMB 125,000 ($19,100), and RMB 130,000 ($19,900) for the BYD Yuan Up, which means the price for regular customers will be slightly less than that.
