As of now, BYD is selling just one model in Europe, the Tang SUV and it's available only in Norway. But according to inside info obtained by German media, the Chinese EV giant is about to enter other European markets with three models.
The three vehicles will be the Tang, Han and Atto 3, which is known as Yuan Plus in China. The Tang is a big SUV, the Han is a sedan while the Atto 3 is a compact SUV.
All three cars will be available only in their all-electric variants as opposed to their Chinese counterparts. Tang and Han, for example, are available as PHEV, despite being based on the e-platform 3.0. The all-electric iterations are running on BYD's Blade battery with LFP cells.
It is believed that the company will officially announce its plans during the Paris Motor Show in October. In previous statements, BYD said that it's aiming to penetrate the European market with only a few models and in modest quantities so that the European consumer gets familiar with the Chinese brand. So the news from the German news outlet seems to be in line with the company's plans.
Pricing for the other two models is unknown for now, but the BYD Tang in Norway is selling for about €50,000.
