American automaker Jeep won European Car of the Year 2023 at the Brussels auto show with its newly released Avenger compact SUV. The interesting bit is that the Avenger can only be found in select North American countries and in Europe as the CEO thinks the vehicle is too small for the US.
However, it seems like a pretty good match for the European consumers since it was voted the best by journalists in more than 20 countries. The Jeep racked up 328 points in total, with 21 jurors ranking it first. The Avenger blows past Volkswagen's ID. Buzz and Nissan Ariya.
Journalists agree on several key selling points - it's practical, comfortable, yet compact, but drives and feels like a much bigger SUV.
Jeep wants 100% of its European revenue to come from EVs by 2030 and half of its North American revenue from EVs. The Avenger will be available sometime in Q2 this year while the Recon and Wagooner S will launch sometime next year in the US.
LoL what a fail. When comes to car quality Jeep is one of the worst. I am surprised they won something. Because this branded cars always breaks faster than most others.
This is a beautiful jeep if only it was affordable low monthly payment $199.00 I could get me a new jeep so much needed for people that on a low income budget.
