Porsche Range Test

In the latest video, the YouTube channel Car Explorers takes the new electric Macan 4 on a winter road trip from Stockholm to Dalarna, providing a comprehensive review of its performance, features, and overall driving experience.

The Macan 4 is one of the hottest electric SUVs on the market and there's no shortage of interested buyers that will benefit from checking out the video.

Although it weighs around 2.3 tons, the Macan 4 delivers impressive performance. Thanks to its 402 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. The car's handling is equally impressive, with precise steering even on snowy and icy roads. The reviewers praise the Macan for its agility and responsiveness, noting that it lives up to the Porsche reputation for sporty driving dynamics.

Equipped with a 95 kWh battery, the Macan 4 has a WLTP range of 381 miles. In the Swedish winter conditions, the reviewers managed to go 236 miles at 50 mph and 193 miles at 75 mph. The last number represents barely over 50% of the advertised range. Thankfully, the car supports fast charging at up to 270 kW, allowing for a quick top-up.

The electric Macan impressed the reviewers with its combination of performance, luxury, and practicality. It retains the sporty driving characteristics that Porsche is known for while offering the efficiency and refinement of an electric powertrain. It proved to be a capable winter companion, confidently tackling snow-covered roads and icy inclines. Its range fell short of the advertised numbers, but this was expected in winter conditions.

Porsche 718 EV sports car delayed indefinitely. Can no longer wait. Buying a Tesla M3P before the $7,500 incentive evaporates. Maybe use the money saved to buy a Miata and still be ahead.

I really wanted to like the MacanEV. The interior is too cramped for real sized friends and family one intends to cradle in comfort. So small, Porsche declines to publish measurements in either SAE or metric values for ArenaEV to auto-convert. Whe...
