Roewe announced its D7 EV mid-range all-electric sedan for the Chinese market with an exterior that looks lot like the Nio ET7. The interior is still a mystery, but the company listed some general specs on its website. Roewe is part of the SAIC group of EV brands and was established in 2006 after SAIC's failed attempt at acquiring Rover.
Anyway, the D7 EV comes in two powertrain and battery configurations. The entry-level offers a rear-mounted 197 hp electric motor drawing power from an LFP battery with a claimed 317 miles range. The more expensive option offers a slight boost in performance - 211 hp and a more significant increase in range - 379 miles.
The D7 EV measures 192.5 inches/73.7 inches/59.4 inches with 111 inches wheelbase. The vehicle provides both, a trunk and a frunk with a combined capacity of 15.8 ft³.
The price is still unknown, but it is estimated to start anywhere between RMB 150,000 ($21,000) and RMB 200,000 ($28,000). Sales will likely commence soon enough and there will also be a PHEV version called D7 DMH.
