Games on a car's infotainment system aren't a new concept. In fact, Mercedes is selling a game bundle to go with its EQS and Tesla has an Arcade mode available on some of its vehicles. The latest brand to jump on the gaming bandwagon is Ford.
According to Darren Palmer, Ford's VP of global EV programs. Ford is in the final stages of introducing video games to the Ford F-150 Lightning's the infotainment system. In fact, his kids are already beta-testing some of the titles.
When asked about the games and how they will be implemented to comply with NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) standards, Ford said that games will only be accessible when the vehicle is in full stop. We could probably expect the update to arrive pretty soon judging by the VP's words.
