BYD-backed Denza gave its stylish N7 SUV a makeover today. Additionally, the 2024 Denza N7 got a new price that's substantially lower than the outgoing version.
Denza's initial N7 launch in July 2023 didn't make the splash the company hoped for. Now the updated N7's starting price of RMB 239,800 ($33,160) represents a massive 20.5% savings over the current model. There are three more trims above that, with the fully loaded version going for RMB 329,800 ($45,600).
All variants use BYD's advanced blade battery technology - 71.8 kWh in the entry version and 91.3 kWh in the other three. Base version goes for 342 miles on a charge, the long-range single motor version does 436 miles, while the two more capable dual-motor configurations achieve 391 miles on the CLTC standard.
The entry-level N7 outputs 170 kW and offers 380 Nm torque, doing the 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds. The second single-motor version ups the power to 230 kW, slightly drops the torque to 360 Nm and cuts the acceleration time to 6.8s.
Then there's the dual-motor versions which add a 160 kW front-mounted motor and 310 Nm torque to reach 62 mph from standstill in 3.9 seconds.
The N7 is a roomy 5-seat SUV slightly larger than the Tesla Model Y. It boasts a sleek silhouette with generous dimensions - 191.3 inches long, 76.2 inches wide, 64 inches tall - and a comfortable 115.7 inches wheelbase.
The updated Denza N7 offers a choice between two advanced driver assistance systems (DiPilot 100 or DiPilot 300). The top-tier system even includes city-focused "Navigate on Autopilot" functions for a true taste of hands-free driving.
Early adopters who place an RMB 2,000 ($280) deposit by May 5th can save an additional $1,100 off the N7's final price. Plus, current Denza N7 owners can upgrade to the latest model with generous subsidies available.
