Geely Panda Mini EV was meant to be launched under the Geometry brand, but a last minute change of hearts meant this cute tiny EV has been unveiled as the smallest member of Geely family.
The car will go on sale next year and apparently in line with current trends among the young buyers, the car heavily features the Panda theme with white and black accents, contrasting black roof and cute round headlights.
The car is a two-door four-seat city dweller and at 3,065 mm of length it will be a cinch to park it up in tightest of the spots. Despite its minute dimensions, the car features a panoramic glass roof and will be available in a choice of warm colors - to maintain its fuzzy appearance.
a-related design clues in as many places as possible. Wheels meant to resemble Panda’s paw prints, there is a trim at the bottom of the front bumper that looks like Panda’s ears and both the headlights and taillights are meant to look like Panda’s eyes.
The car is powered by a single 30kW electric motor that gets its juice from an LFP battery supplied by Guoxuan Hi-Tech with a claimed range of 150km. The prices have not been officially confirmed, but the car is rumored to be priced between $5,700 and $7,200 depending on a trim version.
Yet another tiny micro-EV enters the Chinese city electric car market - probably the busiest automotive segment in the world. The cute Panda Mini EV will have some well established competitors - KiWi EV can be had dressed up in strawberries, Baojun pretends to be a full-size off-roader and Wuling Mini EV can go topless in a matter of seconds. But will they be able to stand up to the sheer cuteness of Panda?
